বেদ — The Vedas
The oldest surviving layer of Sanskrit — four collections (saṃhitā) of hymns, chants, sacrificial formulas and incantations, composed orally in the north-west of the subcontinent and carried by memory for a thousand years before anyone wrote them down. Three readers here: the complete Rigveda — all 1,028 sūktas and 10,143 mantras — and a curated selection from all four Vedas in a scrolling reader and a book spread. Sanskrit is shown in Devanagari, in বঙ্গলিপি (Bengali script) and in IAST transliteration, with meanings in English (Griffith, 1896) and বাংলা.

Reading Formats
The Three Readers
The whole Rigveda, not a selection. The page ships as a small shell and
lazy-loads one maṇḍala of text at a time, so
Mandala 2 costs 264 KB and Mandala 1 about 1.1 MB — nothing
loads until you open it. Two columns: English (Griffith, 1896) and
বাংলা meanings on the left, Sanskrit on the right in
Devanagari, বঙ্গলিপি and IAST, each of the five
streams independently toggleable. Mandala tabs and a horizontal
sūkta strip run across the top, with a full grid
overlay for jumping; scrolling past the end of a
sūkta pulls in the next one. Deep links use

A curated anthology of the best-known hymns from all four
saṃhitās —

Devanagari saṃhitā text and Ralph T. H. Griffith's 1896 English translation from rigveda-online.github.io, released under CC0. The বঙ্গলিপি (Bengali-script) Sanskrit is transliterated from that Devanagari by Unicode block offset.
Bengali translations covering all 10,143 mantras, drawn chiefly from ebanglalibrary.com (R. C. Dutta's Bengali Rigveda, 97.7%), with archive.org OCR (0.4%), hand-curated passages (0.5%), and machine-generated fill-in for the remaining 1.4% where no public-domain Bengali rendering was available.
The 13 sūktas in reader.html and fullbleed.html carry hand-curated বাংলা and English meanings, with ṛṣi, devatā, metre and source references per hymn. Samaveda, Yajurveda (Vājasaneyi Saṃhitā) and Atharvaveda texts follow the standard public-domain recensions.
